My expertise extends to aiding students in identifying suitable scholarship and financial aid opportunities, ensuring that each student has the resources necessary to pursue their academic aspirations. About Me
My name is Erin Knott
I hail from the San Francisco Bay Area. Following my high school years, I pursued my undergraduate studies at San Diego State University, earning a BA in Psychology. My journey then led me to Los Angeles, where I immersed myself in the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) field, focusing on supporting children with Autism. With a thirst for further education, I pursued a Masters in School Counseling, coupled with a Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) credential tailored for K-12 settings.
My professional journey began at Da Vinci Design High School, where I dedicated 11 years of my education career. For the past four years and counting, my attention has been at Da Vinci Connect High School, which is a school dedicated to students seeking a hybrid form of the high school experience. Throughout my tenure, I've had the privilege of guiding numerous students, with varying backgrounds, through their college endeavors, offering insight, feedback, and assistance on all aspects of the college application process..
Driven by a profound passion for empowering students to discover their own unique paths in life, I find immense fulfillment in my role. Beyond work, I cherish moments with my family—my husband Brandon and our two sons, Charlie and Samuel. Soccer holds a special place in our hearts, as we delight in watching the boys indulge in their passion for the sport. In my leisure time, you'll find me engaged in workouts, volunteering at the boys schools, and appreciating special moments with dear friends (on the beach).
Proven Success
In my time at Da Vinci Design and Connect High Schools, I have assisted over 700 students with college research, applications and personal statement refinement within The Common Application, the University of California and the Cal State University Apply application systems.
Here are just some of the many schools my students have been admitted to: all of the UC's (UCLA, UC Berkeley, UC Irvine, etc.), all of the CSU's (SDSU, CSULB, etc.), USC, LMU, Pepperdine, HBCU's, University of CO Boulder, NYU, University North Carolina, TCU, and Georgetown.
My knowledge spans across various types of colleges, including in-state, out-of-state, and private institutions, providing both depth and breadth in college counseling expertise.
